Bioremediation


Bioremediation is the use of biological agents or micro organisms to stabilize, convert and/or contain contaminants in soil and groundwater media. These techniques aim to provide a micro environment in which natural attenuation can occur over time. For sites whose remedial approaches allow for such practices, OP-TECH has implemented several technologies to achieve cleanup standards including evapotranspiration caps, phytoremediation involving the installation of specific plant species, land farming, mycoremediation, and the application of microbial agents.
