OP-TECH Carriage Cleaners Project Summary http://www.op-tech.us/investors.php OP-TECH has been awarded a significant utility replacement and relining project at the Dundalk Martine Terminal in Baltimore, Maryland. The scope of work includes the lining of several structures related to the terminal’s storm water drainage system as well as associated mechanical work. Mobilization activities will begin in late November. http://www.op-tech.us/investors.php On 11/15/2011, OP-TECH reported total backlog of approximately $16mm. The projects include a variety of environmental remediation, industrial field services and civil mechanical projects that will be formed in the Midwest, Mid Atlantic and Northeast. http://www.op-tech.us/investors.php OP-TECH has recently been awarded a utility improvement/facility upgrade project for a major transportation client in the Northeast. The project involves the site grading, interior and exterior concrete work, fiberglass lift station installations, water hydrant installation, pump and piping installation within an existing catch basin, installation of new underground storm drains, electrical upgrades, and rehabilitation/modifications to an existing (oil) belt skimmer. http://www.op-tech.us/investors.php OP-TECH has been retained by a major utility provider in the northeast to perform an emergency decontamination project in Buffalo, New York. The work includes a full scale asbestos decontamination of several active office areas and involves the services of over 15 cross trained staff. http://www.op-tech.us/investors.php OP-TECH is currently performing a major task order for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation at the Former American Axle site in Buffalo, New York. The work includes various decontamination tasks and waste chemical management tasks and is expected to continue well into the first quarter of 2012. http://www.op-tech.us/investors.php OP-TECH has been awarded a $1.3mm remedial construction contract from the NYSDEC for the former Diamond Cleaners site in Elmira, New York. The project, which is slated to begin in Q1 of 2012, includes utility demolition, sheeting, groundwater treatment and remediation of both hazardous and non hazardous levels of PCE contaminated soil. http://www.op-tech.us/investors.php OP-TECH has been awarded a sediment remediation project for a major client in New England. The project involves large scale dewatering, limited sediment removal via mechanical methods, and limited restoration. Field activities are scheduled to commence in November. http://www.op-tech.us/investors.php OP-TECH today announced second-quarter revenue of $7.8 million and operating income of $48,116 with net loss after taxes and diluted loss per share of $(22,000), and ($0.002), respectively. "Our second quarter’s results were softer that we would have liked this year. We have a pending change order, relating to work performed during the second quarter that we expected to be executed by the filing date of our 10-q. This executed change order would have increased net income before taxes by approximately $165,000." said Jon Verbeck, Chief Financial Officer of OP-TECH. "We look forward to strong third and fourth quarter results based on the volume of signed contracts in the queue. OP-TECH’s current backlog exceeds $15 million dollars. Our emphasis continues to be on increasing project revenue, tight expense control and improving gross margin. The STOP™ program is the most popular and successful self-implemented, behavior based safety training program used in general industry and construction. The objective of the program is to prevent workplace injuries. The program teaches employees workplace safety auditing skills for observing people while they work, with steps to reinforce safe work practices and correct unsafe acts and conditions. The project includes the installation of a subsurface barrier wall approximately 355 foot long by 16 feet deep consisting of a mixture of native soils including COPR, bentonite, powder and peat. The materials were mixed in a specific ratio to form a slurry and then pumped into an excavated trench.
