Sub Contractor Safety

OP-TECH's subcontractors are required to participate in our subcontractor safety program. This program is required for all contractors that partner with OP-TECH. We conduct environmental remediation work for several Fortune 100 clients in accordance with OSHA, EPA and DOT requirements. In addition, many of these clients have comprehensive contractor safety programs. As such, in accordance with these client requirements and our business insurance requirements, we must evaluate the safety qualifications of any subcontractor that will perform services for us.

Safety is our primary goal and a core value at OP-TECH. Only contractors who demonstrate a commitment to working safely will be considered for working with us on our projects. Contractors will be evaluated according to their capabilities, financial stability, and on the contractor’s safety commitment. The safety commitment will be judged according to the contractor’s written safety program, regulatory inspection data, experience modification rates, incident and severity rates from the OSHA 300 logs, and a controlled substance and alcohol abuse management program. Contractor’s who don’t meet all of our requirements will be considered on a case by case basis as warranted by OP-TECH project requirements.

OP-TECH is continually striving to achieve improvement in our contractor base and is committed to a safe and healthy workplace. Our major goal is to minimize safety risks. As a subcontractor to OP-TECH, certain terms and conditions must be fulfilled under the contract, including safety compliance. Any unsafe acts or work practices will not be tolerated. Violations may result in removal from the project and exclusion from future bidding on OP-TECH projects.
